The second partnership meeting for the Teaching in Diversity project was hosted by EURAC in Bolzano, Italy from the 13th to 14th of July 2017.
EURAC is a major research organization that pursues basic and applied research on the protection of minorities and the management of cultural diversity. Together with Mercator (Fryske Academy) and European Center for Minority Issues, they had been working on the development of the research and the content of the projects.
All eleven partner organizations were present at this meeting. EURAC, Fryske Academy, and ECMI presented the information on the background materials, which had information from the six core content topics – Minority Rights in Education, Managing Diversity at School, Non-discrimination and Equality, Religious Diversity, Linguistic Diversity in Education, and Preventing Hate Speech and Discrimination at School. Apart from the discussion of the developed core contents, the representatives from the partner organizations addressed the issues of adjustment of the materials for teachers. The meeting was productive and the partners agreed to conduct the next meeting in Rzeszow, Poland.
